TERMS & CONDITIONS.
The full terms governing your use of Management Training Academy services — in plain English.
The Key Points at a Glance
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions supersede all previous Terms and Conditions issued by Management Training Academy.
These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Management Training Academy (ABN 35 204 704 046), unless agreed differently in writing.
Management Training Academy reserves the right to vary these Terms & Conditions. Changes will not apply to bookings where payment has already been received.
Please read all terms and conditions carefully. If you need an explanation or discussion of any term, contact us at hello@mtacademy.au and we will be pleased to advise you.
Copyright & Intellectual Property
Copyright of all training programs, learning materials, assessment tools, and resources is vested with Management Training Academy, except as otherwise specified in writing.
We own and retain all intellectual property rights in any training materials, assessment instruments, and software provided (unless they are in the public domain) to facilitate the delivery of training services.
Any specific written material supplied by you (the client) to be used in training will remain your copyright. Acceptance of this agreement includes permission for Management Training Academy to incorporate your name and logo in program materials and promotional materials including websites and social media.
If you do not consent to the use of your name or logo in promotional materials, you must provide written notice to us at the time of enrolment.
Payment Terms
Scheduled Payment of Fees
No training materials will be provided and no scheduled bookings will be confirmed until payment is made in full. Payment schedules are as set out in the investment section of your enrolment confirmation or proposal.
Unless other arrangements are made in writing:
- Payment is due within 30 days of invoice issue
- Pre-payment for services must be received by the due dates before training delivery commences
- Management Training Academy reserves the right to postpone delivery of services until payment has been received in full
Payment Options
For individual participants, payment must be made in full at the time of enrolment. Payment can be made by credit card, direct bank transfer, or other methods as agreed in writing.
GST & Taxes
All fees are quoted exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. GST is payable by organisations registered in Australia as required by government fees, taxes, duties and charges. Fixed and annual pricing is subject to annual review, with increases indexed to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) or 5%, whichever is higher.
Travel & Mobilisation Fees
Delivery within 40km of Sydney CBD is included in your standard program fee, with no additional travel charge. For delivery locations outside this radius, the following fees apply on top of the program fee:
- Sydney Regional (more than 40km from Sydney CBD — e.g. Wollongong, Newcastle, Central Coast): $275 + GST per hour of return ground travel time beyond 40km.
- Tier 1 (Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra — within 40km of the relevant CBD): $1,500 + GST flat fee.
- Tier 2 (Adelaide, Hobart — within 40km of the relevant CBD): $2,000 + GST flat fee.
- Tier 3 (Perth, Darwin, and other regional hubs — within 40km of the relevant CBD): $2,500 + GST flat fee.
- Beyond 40km of any Tier 1–3 city: an Additional Regional Travel Fee of $275 + GST per hour applies on top of the Tier fee, for the return ground travel time between the CBD and your venue.
- Complex or Remote Regional Delivery (multiple flight legs, FIFO, or more than 5 hours' total transit from Sydney): a Complex Regional Travel Time Fee applies instead of the fees above, calculated at $275 + GST per hour of total transit time, with a minimum fee of $2,500 + GST.
These fees cover MTA's non-billable time in transit — including where a facilitator needs to travel the day before your program to guarantee an on-time start. Reasonable direct expenses (flights, accommodation, and ground transport) are billed separately, at cost, with no mark-up, and confirmed in your proposal before booking.
What's billed separately:
Direct out-of-pocket travel expenses are charged in addition to the mobilisation fee, at cost, with no mark-up, and itemised on your invoice. These typically include:
- Flights
- Accommodation
- Ground transport (Taxis, Uber, Rental car, Parking, Petrol, Tolls)
Wherever possible, these costs are estimated up front in your proposal and confirmed before your booking is finalised, so there are no surprises on the invoice. All fees are quoted in Australian dollars and exclude GST unless stated otherwise.
Tip: Not sure whether your venue falls inside the 40km radius? Let us know your delivery location when you enquire and we'll confirm your travel fee (if any) upfront, before you book.
Questions about invoicing or payment options? Contact us at hello@mtacademy.au — we're happy to discuss arrangements that work for your organisation.

No penalty applies to MTA in such circumstances.

Subscription Plans
Subscription Commitment
Passport Membership subscriptions (monthly or annual) automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Monthly plans: Cancel any time with 30 days written notice. Access continues until the end of the current billing period
- Annual plans: Run for a full 12-month period. Early cancellation is not eligible for a pro-rata refund unless a major service failure has occurred
- Price changes: Members will receive 30 days notice of any pricing changes prior to their next renewal date
Refund Eligibility
Refunds are only available where:
- A subscription has been purchased within the last 14 days and no modules have been accessed
- A major service failure has occurred that substantially prevents access to the platform
- Rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply (see Consumer Protections section)
On-Demand Content
Passport Members have unlimited access to on-demand content for as long as their subscription remains active. Content may be updated, added to, or occasionally removed as the library evolves. MTA will provide reasonable notice of significant content changes.
Licences
Individual Licences
Individual training licences are issued to a single named user. Licences are non-transferable and may not be shared with or assigned to other individuals or organisations.
Group Licences
Group licences are issued to the purchasing organisation for use by the specified number of participants. Each participant must have their own unique login. Group licences may not be shared across different companies or entities unless explicitly agreed in writing with MTA.
If you need to change a licence holder — for example, because a staff member has left — contact us at hello@mtacademy.au and we'll assist with the transfer.
Training Delivery
Online & Hybrid Delivery
For online and hybrid training, participants are responsible for ensuring they have access to suitable technology, a stable internet connection, and a distraction-free environment.
MTA will provide technical requirements in advance. Where technical difficulties arise on the participant's side that cause disruption to training, MTA reserves the right to continue the session and is not liable for content missed as a result.
Face-to-Face Delivery
Where face-to-face training is delivered at a client's premises, the client is responsible for providing a suitable venue, appropriate seating, audio-visual equipment as specified, and a professional environment free from disruption.
MTA coaches follow specific professional conduct rules. Any behaviour from participants that disrupts training may result in the participant being asked to leave the session without refund.
For face-to-face delivery, a minimum of 4 modules (one full day, approximately 6 hours) is required. We'll confirm all technical and venue requirements well in advance of your session.
Assessments & Certificates
Certificates of Completion are issued upon successful completion of all module requirements, including:
- Attendance at all scheduled sessions within the module
- Passing the knowledge check (minimum score applies)
- Submission of the action plan and nomination of an accountability partner
Certificates are issued digitally and are available for download and printing. Replacement certificates are available upon request for a fee of $50 + GST.
MTA Certificates of Completion are awarded for completing individual modules. They are not AQF (Australian Qualifications Framework) qualifications. They are professional development credentials recognised by the issuing organisation.
Consumer Protections
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
These Terms and Conditions operate alongside your rights under the ACL and do not exclude, restrict, or modify any condition, warranty, guarantee, right, or remedy that you have under the ACL.
If you believe you have received a service that does not meet the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, please contact us at hello@mtacademy.au. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, including the Australian Consumer Law. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
Amendments
Management Training Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of MTA services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
